| Arabian Nights Party
Luscious figs and olives, a desert backdrop, good wine, delicious
food and above all a belly dancer completes the theme for
an Arabian Nights party.
Start with exotic decorations and fragrant incense, then
dazzle guests' taste buds with a feast fit for a sultan. No
need to hail a flying carpet to Casablanca - we've got all
the party ideas you'll need right here.
Decorations
Set an exotic scene with colorful brocade floor pillows, paper
lanterns, incense and golden candles. Drape sheer, silky fabric
from the ceiling to create a tent-like effect.
|
 |
 |
|
Make your serve ware part of the decor. Traditional
cocktails take on an exotic flair when served in gold-rimmed
tea glasses and set upon a brass tray. Set opulent sari coasters
on the tables for guests to set their drinks on.

Serving Dinner...
Serve dinner Moroccan style - arrange cushions on the floor
and serve dinner on a low table. (Be sure to tell your guests
to dress comfortably.) Cover with a brocade tablecloth or runner. |
 |
 |
|
At Moroccan dinners, it's traditional to bathe
guests' fingers with warm, perfumed water (just add a couple
drops of your favorite edible essential oil) before dinner.
Walk around the table with a pitcher and pour a little water
over the fingers of each guest, catching it in a small bowl.
This gesture is a sign of the host's graciousness. After dinner,
bring in a small incense burner and light it on the table.
