Mexican Fiesta Party

You deserve a fantastico party. With Mexican national colors in flags and fans, sombreros, chili pepper lights & garlands, and a bull piñata to break open, this is one buena fiesta!

Mexican Fiesta Ideas
Need ideas for a Mexico Celebration? Look no further! We've got plenty of tips for a festive fiesta.

Invitation:
Print your party information on recipe cards. Write "Mexican Salsa" at the top of the cards and weave the date and time of the party into the recipe instructions. For example:

Ingredients:
* 4 platters of Mexican munchies
* 24 bottles of curves
* A generous dash of music and dancing
* 15 guests

Directions: Combine all ingredients at Casa Mexicana (2247 Marine Drive) at 7:30 p.m. on July 15. Mix well for several hours and enjoy.

Decorations
* Red, white, and green balloons (the colors of the Mexican flag)
* Brightly colored paper flowers
* Chili pepper light strings
* Mexican flags

Activities
* Hire a mariachi band or play salsa CDs and dance the night away.
* Fill a piñata with candy and let everyone have a crack at it.

Food
* Set up a make-your-own soft taco bar. Cover a table with a Mexican blanket or brightly colored tablecloth, then set out platters of warm tortillas, seasoned beef, sautéed chicken, diced avocados, tomatoes, grated cheese, sour cream, olives, and a variety of salsas and hot sauces.

* Fill a large wash tub with ice and plenty of cerveza. Include popular Mexican brands like Corona, Dos Equis, and Tecate - and don't forget the limes!

* Rev up the blender and keep the margaritas flowing (make virgin versions for non-drinkers and designated drivers).

Cocktails, Starters, Outdoors and Desserts

Favors
* Jars of homemade salsa
* Packets of dried chili peppers
* Mini bottles of gourmet hot sauce
* Anything with a chili pepper motif, i.e. dish towels or drink coasters.
